Al’occasion de l’événement D23 : The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, se déroulant du 9 au 11 août à Anaheim en Californie et attirant des fans Disney du monde entier, Disneyland Paris a partagé plusieurs annonces majeures à propos d’expériences à venir dans ses deux Parcs. En point d’orgue, la construction de la toute première attraction immersive inspirée du Roi Lion, l’une des franchises Disney les plus populaires. Ses portes ouvriront après World of Frozen, qui accueillera les visiteurs en 2026 dans le second parc Disney Adventure World. D’autres nouveaux projets, prenant vie dans le cadre de la transformation sans précédent de la première destination touristique d’Europe, ont également été révélés, tels que la création d’un nouveau spectacle nocturne époustouflant joué au- dessus du nouveau lac central d’Adventure Bay et le lancement dès janvier 2025 d’un spectacle nocturne inédit au Parc Disneyland.
An attraction and themed area based on The Lion King, a world first for Disney Parks
Before an enthusiastic audience, Josh D’Amaro, President of Disney Experiences, unveiled the upcoming creation of a brand-new themed area at Disneyland Paris , dedicated to one of Disney’s most popular franchises worldwide, and particularly in Europe: The Lion King. This incredibly realistic world will transport visitors to the heart of the African savannah, where they can relive the adventures of Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, and other iconic characters from the film, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The majestic Pride Rock will be the gateway to a spectacular water attraction, a first for Disneyland Paris. It will offer a unique blend of adventure and thrills that will immerse visitors in Simba’s story, from his childhood to his rise to become the new King, just like in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. By visiting the Land of the Lions, visitors will enjoy a total immersion in the world of The Lion King through encounters with Disney Characters and themed dining and shopping offers, which promise an unforgettable experience for young and old.
We are thrilled and proud to unveil the next immersive area in our second park, Disney Adventure World, which is currently undergoing an unprecedented expansion. This is another major step in the ongoing transformation at Disneyland Paris. Following Worlds of Pixar, Marvel Avengers Campus, and then World of Frozen, our land inspired by Frozen, which will open in 2026, the one dedicated to The Lion King will continue our promise to immerse our guests in ever more spectacular adventures inspired by their favorite films, in worlds more real than life. This new area dedicated to this franchise that has captivated several generations is a first, unique in its kind, and will allow guests to fulfill one of their greatest dreams: to visit the Pride Lands alongside all their favorite characters. Inspired by the African savannah and iconic locations from the franchise, this new area on the shores of Adventure Bay, the park’s central lake, will push the boundaries of immersion thanks to its unique attention to detail and a brand-new attraction. This attraction will blend new aquatic sensations with the latest Audio-Animatronics® technology, showcasing Disney’s unique storytelling expertise. Construction will begin next year and will represent the culmination of the ongoing transformation of the second park, which is currently in full swing.

Launch of World of Frozen and a brand-new nighttime spectacular over the central lake in 2026 at Disney Adventure World
Before the upcoming opening of the immersive Lion King area, Disneyland Paris will offer numerous new experiences to its visitors in its second park. These new features will include the verdant Adventure Way promenade and its family attraction, Tangled Spin, the majestic waterfront of Adventure Bay, bordered by the magnificent Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, and the highly anticipated opening of World of Frozen, a themed area entirely dedicated to Frozen.
This immersive zone will plunge visitors into the heart of the Kingdom of Arendelle, thanks in particular to a new attraction that will take them on a journey alongside Anna and Elsa. Visitors will also be able to enjoy dining and shopping in a fully immersive environment, as well as meet the two sisters during a memorable royal audience.
That same year, a breathtaking new nighttime spectacular will launch on and above the central lake, visible from the shores of Adventure Bay and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. Performed nightly, this show will combine water screens, fountains, special effects, and unprecedented drone choreography. True to its heritage of innovation in nighttime entertainment, Disneyland Paris, in partnership with its French Official Technology Supplier Dronisos, has developed a new aquatic drone technology created exclusively for this show, which will mark the end of the adventure-filled days awaiting guests at Disney Adventure World in a truly moving and spectacular way.
All these additions will allow the park to almost double its size and enter a new era, including a creative repositioning and a new name, Disney Adventure World, which will apply to the opening of its unprecedented expansion in 2026.
A new and unforgettable nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park starting in January 2025

Ce spectacle repoussera les limites techniques de ses prédécesseurs, Disney Dreams! et Disney Illuminations, grâce à une combinaison innovante de projections, fontaines, et d’incroyables effets de lumière qui immergeront comme jamais les visiteurs, le tout accompagné d’une magnifique bande originale composée pour l’occasion. Grande première dans l’histoire des spectacles nocturnes de Disneyland Paris, l’histoire présentée englobera Main Street, U.S.A. ! Qu’il s’agisse des univers colorés de Pinocchio, La Belle et la Bête et Encanto ou même l’espace infini de Buzz L’Eclair, de nombreuses histoires Disney Animation et Pixar prendront vie dans toute la rue principale du Parc Disneyland grâce à des projections dernier cri et de nombreux effets sonores, qui plongeront encore davantage les spectateurs au cœur de l’histoire.

Earlier this year, the resort unveiled the next phase of its Disney Hotels transformation plan. Following the reopening of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel (2021) and the regal transformation of Disneyland Hotel (2024), the bungalows at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch will be gradually reimagined soon, with new interior designs inspired by the adventures of Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and the lovable Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby Vanderquack.
Disney Village is also undergoing an unprecedented transformation aimed at strengthening its appeal and improving the visitor experience, including new shop and restaurant concepts that will open in the coming months, creating an even more modern, warm and dynamic atmosphere.
